Care Jobs in Cumbria – Join the Good Companions Care Team

Visiting Home Care & Live-In Carers Wanted

Are you looking for a rewarding care job in Cumbria where your work genuinely makes a difference?

Good Companions is recruiting caring, dependable people to join our growing team providing Visiting Home Care and 24-Hour Live-In Care throughout Cumbria.

We have been caring for people across the county for over 25 years, helping our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Whether that means visiting someone for an hour to help them start their day, providing companionship and practical support, or living with a client to provide reassuring one-to-one care, our aim is simple:

To help people live safely and comfortably in the place they know and love – their own home.

Visiting Home Care Jobs

Our Visiting Home Care team supports people who need some additional help while continuing to live independently at home.

Depending upon the individual, this could include:

  • Personal care and assistance with everyday routines
  • Preparing meals and drinks
  • Medication support
  • Companionship
  • Shopping and everyday household tasks
  • Helping clients get out and about
  • Providing reassurance to clients and their families

If you are a friendly, compassionate person who enjoys meeting people and helping others, we would love to hear from you.

Drivers are particularly welcome.

24-Hour Live-In Carer Jobs

We’re also expanding our Live-In Care team and are looking for dependable carers who can provide one-to-one support to clients in their own homes.

Live-in care can enable someone who might otherwise have to consider residential care to remain surrounded by familiar possessions, neighbors, family, and even their pets.

As a Good Companions live-in carer, you aren’t simply providing care. You can become an important source of companionship, reassurance, and continuity in someone’s life.

We have immediate opportunities available, with flexible working packages.

Drivers are preferred.

Why Work with Good Companions?

Already an Experienced Carer?

We would particularly like to hear from experienced home care and live-in carers looking for a new opportunity.

If you already work in care but would like greater flexibility, a supportive local organisation behind you and the opportunity to develop your career, talk to us in confidence.

New to Care?

A career in care can be enormously rewarding.

If you believe you have the right personality and values but don’t yet have extensive care experience, please don’t automatically assume that care isn’t for you.

Talk to our team about the opportunities currently available and the training and support that may be provided.
